Position Description:

The Barrick Nevada (BNV) Technology and Systems (TAS) Network Administrator is responsible for designing, installing, monitoring, upgrading, maintaining and resolving issues pertaining to network infrastructure, and for creating and maintaining documentation at BNV Sites, within BNV network, technology, compliance and business standards. They are also responsible for supporting BNV Operations Technology (OT) networks, working closely with the site OT teams. They will work closely with other BNV TAS team members including the Service Delivery team, Technical Services team, Cyber Security Engineer and Project Manager to implement, improve and support technology solutions with a focus on enabling the BNV business to meet their business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain Cisco routers, switches, and wireless technologies.

• Respond to break/fix issues and perform root cause analysis to help improve stability through prevention of future incidents.

• Rotate through the role of on-call technician on a periodic basis.

• Installation of cabinets, radio links, AP’s on towers.

• Work closely with the BNV Networking Lead to define the future state of BNV Networking infrastructure.

• Engage business to ensure site networking requirements are enabling production requirements.

• Communicate effectively with various levels of personnel.

• Demonstrate comfort in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift frequently.

• Demonstrate the ability to work with cross functional teams.

• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Two (2) year technical degree and/or certification preferred.

• Cisco certification CCNA highly desirable.

• 2 years of experience in a business networking environment preferred.

• Mining experience preferred.

• Exceptional safety, performance, and attendance records required.

This position is located within Barrick Nevada and assigned to a specific site directed by the BNV TAS Site Leader. Travel between BNV sites as required.
