Position Description:

Barrick is looking for a Chief ResDev Geologist to join the ResDev Geology team at Cortez.  The Chief ResDev Geologist will manage the geology team to advance projects to reserve status, lead 3D district modeling, support the geology data collection from the HCCUEP declines and provide technical support to operations geology and advanced projects.

Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance to staff, contract personnel and core techs as needed
• Guide staff performance and skills development
• Design, budget, coordinate and execute drill programs; engage associated personnel
• Liaise with Resource and Database teams; identify opportunity
• Liaise with Operations groups to ensure projects sync with LOM plans
• Liaise with Safety and Environmental personnel to ensure compliance
• Provide input and support to Life-of-mine and project study work
• Prepare reports, presentations and technical reviews as required
• Foster strong safety culture
• Manage projects as delegated by supervisor; perform other duties as assigned

Barrick Nevada is an integrated gold mining operation that combines the Cortez and Goldstrike properties in Nevada, employing a total of 3,000 employees and 800 contractors. The operation utilizes both open pit and underground mining methods with Autoclave and Roaster processing facilities at Goldstrike and Milling/Heap Leaching facilities at Cortez.
