Geotechnician

Position Description:

Assist geologic staff providing support to ensure successful completion of drill programs.

Responsibilities:

• Retrieving samples from drill rig

• Washing and photographing drill core

• Cutting core with diamond blade saw

• Creating sample bags with proper sample numbering

• Sorting and checking samples prior to dispatching to assay lab

• Organize and maintain sample storage (pulps, rejects and core) areas

• Maintaining inventory of required supplies

• Adhering to QA/QC protocols

• Assist geologic staff

 Qualifications:

0-2 years experience in mining, laboratory or outdoor environment preferred.
