Position Description:
Barrick Nevada is looking for a Human Resources Administrative Assistant to join the Human Resources team.
The successful Human Resources Administrative Assistant candidate will provide confidential administrative support for the Human Resources Division. Additional responsibilities include: preparing confidential documents and presentations and electronic filing of the same, collecting data and compiling monthly (and as needed) expense reports, preparing and distributing weekly and monthly site communications. Coordinating and presenting new hire orientation, event planning and coordination, monitoring incoming mail and responding as appropriate, attending meetings and documenting minutes; perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Prepare confidential documents and presentations
Electronic filing
Collect data and compile monthly (and as needed) expense reports
Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly site communications
Coordinate and present new hire orientation
Event planning and coordination
Monitor incoming mail and respond as appropriate
Attend meetings and document minutes
Qualifications:
Knowledge and skills equivalent to that gained through a minimum of five (5) years clerical/secretarial experience preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of office management/administrative support practices and procedures required
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion required
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, Visio) Oracle R11.5.10 or R12 or similar ERP required
Familiarity with electronic filing systems preferred
Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively with a wide variety of people required
Ability to organize and prioritize a heavy workload in a fast-paced, demanding environment required

Barrick Nevada is an integrated gold mining operation that combines the Cortez and Goldstrike properties in Nevada, employing a total of 3,000 employees and 800 contractors.
