Job Description
Under the direction of the Truck Shop Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for servicing mine equipment in the field in a timely manner to reduce machine downtime, while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross’ values.
Job Responsibilities
Meets deadlines and appointments in the pit to fuel and lubricate equipment.
Keep accurate records of fueling, including quantities of oil added and fuel dispensed.
Identify mechanical problems and report them to the truck shop.
Maintains the lubrication truck.
Must keep equipment running during the shift with minimal downtime for lack of fluids.
Highly responsible for keeping with his/her schedule. Lubing and fueling must be done as quickly and accurately as possible in order to reduce the amount of downtime for each piece of machinery. Failure to maintain schedule will cost the company money in lost productivity
Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills.
Helps develop other department personnel to perform duties listed above.

Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance.
Works without risk or harm to self and others.
Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by state agency, or must be able to pass driver competency course and exam.
Punctuality and regular attendance required.
Perform other related functions as assigned by supervisor.
Education and Experience
Able to manage time effectively, and stay on schedule.
Must be proficient on the JDE system, outlook explorer, and have basic computer skills.
Understanding of oils and basic mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Ability to operate various equipment pieces, including forklifts, and service trucks.
General understanding of mining operations, as well as limited understanding of milling and maintenance operations.
Must possess communication skills to work with all departments on the mine site, as well as the Truck Shop and dispatch.
Ability to work independently and also as a member of the management team.
Ability to function within the qualifications outlined in the attached physical demands sheets.
Knowledge of basic maintenance on a variety of mine equipment.
Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis.
Requires valid driver’s license.
1 year previous heavy equipment diesel or lube maintenance experience or equivalent education.
Must currently be or previously have been at least a Tech III in the ALPM shop or equivalent to qualify for this position.
