Our growth is ongoing and so are our opportunities. Vale is now ready to initiate the construction phase of an underground mine at Voisey’s Bay. This mine expansion project is expected to produce about 40,000 tonnes of nickel per year and extend the life of the Voisey’s Bay operation until at least 2032. Over several years, an additional 400 full-time positions will be created at Voisey’s Bay to support the underground operations and expanded site services. Our Vale Newfoundland and Labrador Operation is currently seeking professionals interested in joining this exciting project. Construction of the underground mine is to begin late 2016 and underground mining to start in 2019. We have opportunities for professionals in Project Controls, specifically cost and scheduling for both the St. John’s office and the Voisey’s Bay mine site to help support the execution of the project.

PROJECT CONTROLS PROFESSIONALS
This team will be responsible for leading the cost control and financial control support for the Mine Expansion Project. More specifically, they will be responsible for analyzing and forecasting project costs, as well as developing, preparing and collecting cost data for status reports to the management team for review.
This team will have excellent knowledge of engineering controls, cost control, project accounting and project reporting. Also, knowledge of procurement contracts, construction management, scheduling and document control with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
