Barrick Nevada is an integrated gold mining operation that combines the Cortez and Goldstrike properties in Nevada, employing a total of 3,000 employees and 800 contractors. The operation utilizes both open pit and underground mining methods.

Position Description:

Barrick is looking for an Open Pit Electricianto join our Barrick Nevada Cortez team.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and repairs of electrical systems on P&H 2800 XPA/B/4100 XPB/C shovels, 830 E’s, 930 E’s and T 2.82 electrical haul trucks
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Two (2) years electrical experience in open pit mining preferred
• Experience with Programmable Logic Control (PLC) SL504, motor control circuits, high-voltage cable repairs preferred
• Experience with maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems on P&H 2800 XPA/B/4100 XPB/C shovels, 830 E’s, 930 E’s and T 2.82 electrical haul trucks preferred
• Ability to read electrical blue prints and utilize test equipment preferred
• Ability to utilize basic hand tools required
• MSHA electrical cards preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Cortez management required
• Satisfactory safety, performance, and attendance records required
  Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
