Position Description:

Barrick is looking for an Open Pit Survey Technician to join the Open Pit Engineering Team.  The Survey Technician will set up drill patterns, survey face positions, stake ore control, and other survey projects to maintain mine production and to assist other divisions with their survey requirements as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare truck for daily tasks

• Assist with daily grade sheets

• Survey ore-waste boundaries on shot muck

• Preform other duties as assigned

   

   

Qualifications:

• Ability to walk on uneven ground required

• Able to work in all weather conditions required

• Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. required

• Experience with high precision GPS or other surveying skills preferred

Barrick Nevada is an integrated gold mining operation that combines the Cortez and Goldstrike properties in Nevada, employing a total of 3,000 employees and 800 contractors.
