Position Description:
Barrick is looking for a Process Electrical and Instrumentation Trainer to join the Process Training team at Goldstrike. The E&I Trainer develops and conducts field training programs for Electrical and Instrumentation technicians in all areas of the Process Division.
Responsibilities:
Ensure technicians have the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude to perform their assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound manner.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all work areas to provide a safe and healthy workplace for all employees and contractors.
Collaborate with management to conduct needs analysis studies to determine training needs within organization
Coordinating on-the-job training activities with field trainers and supervisors
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred
Minimum of 5 years electrical and/or instrumentation experience; preferably in a mining (Process) environment required
3 years training experience, preferably in a mining (Process) environment preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), required
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
Proven safety record required
Excellent attendance record required

Barrick Nevada is an integrated gold mining operation that combines the Cortez and Goldstrike properties in Nevada, employing a total of 3,000 employees and 800 contractors. The operation utilizes both open pit and underground mining methods with Autoclave and Roaster processing facilities at Goldstrike and Milling/Heap Leaching facilities at Cortez.
