Barrick Nevada is looking for a Maintenance Reliability Engineer to join the Goldstrike Process team. The Reliability Engineer will maintain training and development in reliability technologies, develop and implement regular and formal downtime tracking and analysis for critical and non-critical plant equipment – including but not limited to: SAG, ball, and double rotator mills, roasters, crushers, autoclaves, pumps, and conveyors.
Responsibilities:
Optimize Processing Plant Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
Identify, quantify, and implement initiatives that will improve overall equipment reliability, safe operation, and performance by facilitating and implementing reliability techniques (e.g. RCM2, Cause Mapping, MTA)
Supervise and improve the Predictive Maintenance program
Assist Maintenance General Supervisor in shutdown activity
Manage small and medium sized reliability/improvement projects
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience required; Reliability, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering preferred
Five (5) or more years experience in reliability/maintenance in a mining, minerals processing facility or related field and/or professional engineer preferred
Proficient in project management and contracts management preferred
Excellent communicator with supervisory experience preferred
Ability to work under stress and perform effectively with departments in the area of responsibility required
Proficient in Oracle and Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project preferred
Formal Risk Assessment, Failure Modes and Effects Analyses, etc. preferred
Knowledge of Business Improvement Methods such as Six Sigma and LEAN (5S) preferred

Barrick Nevada is an integrated gold mining operation that combines the Cortez and Goldstrike properties in Nevada, employing a total of 3,000 employees and 800 contractors. The operation utilizes both open pit and underground mining methods with Autoclave and Roaster processing facilities at Goldstrike and Milling/Heap Leaching facilities at Cortez.
