Barrick Turquoise Ridge Joint Venture Operations is located in the Potosi Mining District, about 70 kilometers northeast of Winnemucca, Nevada. Barrick is the operator and 75% owner of the mine with Newmont owning the remaining 25%.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for sustaining current and developing new advanced reliability tools and work processes to support reliability efforts in the process and mobile maintenance divisions; coordinate activities that support Barrick’s best business practices; and, stay true to the Barrick Vision and the pursuit of Operational Excellence.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supervise the predictive maintenance program in addition to creating engineered solutions to complex equipment problems
• Implement maintenance alternatives to leverage cost-savings to comply with internal/external customer demands for timely repairs of process equipment
• Identify and set priorities on opportunities for reliability improvement by mining information using reliability databases
• Statistically analyze equipment and process performance to assess reliability, maintainability, and availability
• Provide training and facilitation on root cause failure analysis (RCA), failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) with maintenance and operations personnel
• Develop Barrick Maintenance Procedures, Standards and Specifications focused on sustaining a reliability-culture
• Cultivate productive partnerships with key vendors/OEM’s that drive improvement in equipment
• Maintain and validate downtime reporting databases and KPI’s across the process division
• Identify, scope and evaluate reliability improvement projects
• Drive continuous improvement in the maintenance division and help foster the culture to ensure its longevity
• Ensure the sustainability of the Condition Monitoring techniques that are implemented for the fixed plant
• Develop and implement OSI PI CBM frameworks to identify and monitor equipment Reliability

Knowledge & Experience

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:  To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience in a reliability role            Required
• Experience with CM technologies including vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, ultrasonic emissions        Required
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office programs, especially MS Excel Required
• Strong communication skills including verbal and written as well as presentation skills Preferred
• Strong analytical ability Required
• Experience with OSI PI AF technology Preferred
