Position Description:
Barrick is looking for a Roaster Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join the Roaster Maintenance team.
Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
Excellent safety record and ability to work with various safety programs required
Minimum four (4) years process electrical and instrumentation experience or two (2) years trade school or equivalent training required
Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation circuits on mechanical equipment required
Ability to work with minimal supervision, follow instructions, and provide feedback required
Some experience with PLC controls, troubleshooting and programming, as well as experience with variable frequency drives and conveyors required
Ability to use Microsoft Office software required
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
Capable and willing to work with maintenance and operation teams required
Fabrication and welding skills including certification preferred

Barrick Nevada is an integrated gold mining operation that combines the Cortez and Goldstrike properties in Nevada, employing a total of 3,000 employees and 800 contractors. The operation utilizes both open pit and underground mining methods with Autoclave and Roaster processing facilities at Goldstrike and Milling/Heap Leaching facilities at Cortez.
