Responsibilities:

• Design of mechanical services (HVAC & Wet Services) from concept to construction
• Production of deliverables: Reports, Specifications, Budgets & BOQs
• Managing production of drawings
• Site Role for projects at construction phase – reviewing and witnessing
• Attending project meetings and communicating with clients to establish their needs
• Presenting to Clients/Stakeholders/Project Teams
• Project Management role on some projects (PM of the Group scope) – managing fee and coordinating the Group delivery
• Supervising and co-coordinating the work of others and co-coordinating work with engineers of other disciplines
• Manage project team to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team        ·

Requirements:

• Degree qualified
• Professional registration – ECSA advantageous
• Extensive experience in the field of mechanical design and experience across a range of medium to large scale projects and building types
• Ability to design and deliver mechanical engineering solutions on major and complex projects
• Experience leading teams on multi-disciplinary projects
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Ability to understand the balance of engineering priorities on differing projects
• Ability to demonstrate strong commercial awareness
• Fluent in SA Building Regulations, including SANS 10400XA
• Excellent planning and organisation skills
• Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal)
