Barrick is looking for a Senior Mine Engineer to join the Underground Technical Services team and be an integral part of a step change in operational effectiveness and technical excellence.
Coordinate with mine operations to ensure plan compliance and to minimize disruptions
Complete regular variance reports and stope status reports
Coordinate with the open pit, maintenance and operations planning groups to minimize disruptions to the mining plan
Degree in Mining Engineering Required
Member of professional association, or eligible to become a member
A minimum of five years of underground Mining Engineering experience
Demonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principles and a demonstrated knowledge of Canadian/American Engineering standards
Strong presentation and verbal skills. Able to communicate ideas and recommendations in both written and verbal forms across all levels of the organization in a clear manner
Excellent time and productivity management skills
Excellent computer skills including: Microsoft Office, Vulcan, and Deswik
Proven ability to perform in a safe and efficient manner Required

The Hemlo property consists of Williams Operating Corporation, an underground and open pit mine, located approximately 350 kilometers east of Thunder Bay, Ontario.
