Technology, Innovation and Systems Manager

Barrick is looking for a Technology, Innovation and Systems Manager to join the TIS Management team. The Technology, Innovation and Systems Manager enhance the site operations through the appropriate support and application of information technology. Responsible for the TIS Team supervision, utilize a standards based approach, optimize the costs of IT, leverage our investments and experience across the company. Support the business through reliable IT infrastructure services.

 

Responsibilities:

Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree in information technology or IT related work experience.  Additional training / coursework in hardware and software highly desirable. 

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of IT experience in a multi-national company required. 

  • 3+ years of previous management experience required.  Previous experience working with Project management, LAN, WAN, Oracle, LIMS, Wireless infrastructure, and  Sarbanes Oxley compliance.  Experience with Cisco, Windows, UNIX, and Linux environments.   Additional experience in AutoCAD, Nortel phone systems, Satellite, Microwave Technology, and Mining Information Technology a plus.

  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and reporting writing abilities required. 

  • Must have a solid understanding and ability to execute recruitment strategies with limited resources. 

  • Ability to build relationships with local community leaders and provide reporting as required.  Must be able to enforce and stand by recruitment and selection processes, policies, and procedures.  Be a subject matter expert on testing and selection requirements used in qualifying general industrial labor positions. 

  • Strong proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and applicant tracking databases required. 

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercises a high level of discretion on all matters.
