Barrick Nevada is an integrated gold mining operation that combines the Cortez and Goldstrike properties in Nevada, employing a total of 3,000 employees and 800 contractors. The operation utilizes both open pit and underground mining methods.

 

Responsibilities include: The Underground Fixed Maintenance Supervisor will supervise, coach and lead fixed maintenance teams to ensure the production and development targets and schedules are met to ensure profitability and business development in accordance with the annual budget and strategic business plan; perform other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in maintenance of stationary equipment in a planned work environment required
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of supervisory experience in a mining environment preferred
  • Construction experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead others required
  • Proven safe work record required
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment required
  • Strong communication skills—oral and written required
