MONTREAL, QUEBEC–(Marketwired – Feb. 4, 2016) – Bowmore Explorations Ltd. (the “Company” or “Bowmore”) (TSX VENTURE:BOW)(FRANKFURT:0B5) is pleased to announce the completion of a reconnaissance drill program on its Southern Quebec quartzite property. The main objective of the program was to enable preliminary testing of the quality of a near-surface horizontal quartzite formation that outcrops over several square kilometers by implementing a widely spaced shallow drill hole program.
Quebec South Silica Project
The Company holds several silica properties in Quebec, and recently staked 66 claims covering approximately 4,007 hectares in the southern part of the province. The property is well located and accessible by paved roads, abundant infrastructure and close to commercial rail and waterways. The objective was to assess the quality, purity and strike length of the known quartzite zones by completing 16 shallow (10-20 metre) vertical drill holes. Analytical results of purity of the quartzite will be made available as soon as they are completed. The fall exploration program also included mapping, rock and channel sampling that returned positive results in five (5) distinct areas, with the following values:
