Australian oil and gas major Woodside’s CEO and MD Peter Coleman said on Tuesday that the decision to shelve the Browse liquefied natural gas project earlier this year, was simply an economic one.
“Of course there was some social license to operate things that we were aware of and were of a concern to us, but the reality is that this was simply an economic decision for us,” Coleman said on the sidelines of the 18th liquefied natural gas (LNG) conference.
