Cerro Grande’s Pimenton snow shut-in to cause financial grief

Cerro Grande Mining has reported that its flagship Pimenton mine, in Chile, remained closed from early this month after a severe snow storm brought 3.14 m of snow.
All personnel had now been evacuated from the mine by PistenBully snowcats. The snow storm was reported to be the worst storm to hit the mine operations since 2005.
