Columbus Gold Shares To ‘Graduate’ To Toronto Stock Exchange

Columbus Gold Corp. (TSXV: CGT)reports thatits common shares are in the process of graduating to the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), having received conditional approval to be listed on the exchange. Upon completion of the final listing requirements, anticipated this month, Columbus Gold’s common shares will be delisted from the TSX Venture Exchange and continue to trade on the TSX under its existing symbol. Columbus said it is one of only three metals/mining companies to “graduate or receive conditional approval to graduate” from the TSX Venture Exchange to the TSX in 2015. “Graduation to the Toronto Stock Exchange, one of the largest and most important stock exchanges in the world, is a fundamental transition,” says Robert Giustra, chief executive of the mining company, adding that this “advances Columbus Gold’s strategy of augmenting market visibility, developing liquidity and improving access to a broader pool of international capital.”

Guyana Goldfields Achieves Commercial Production At Aurora Mine

Guyana Goldfields Inc. (TSX: GUY) achieved commercial production at its Aurora Gold Mine in Guyana, South America, as of Jan. 1. The company reports 2015 production there totaled 35,901 ounces, with 35,723 coming in the fourth quarter. During December, the mill processed an average of 4,758 tonnes of ore per day. Total gold production guidance for 2016 is between 130,000 to 150,000 ounces of gold. “We have successfully ramped up Aurora and the hard rock is processing nicely through the primary crusher. We look forward to the next few quarters and demonstrating continued production success to reinforce our successful ramp-up to full production,” says Scott A. Caldwell, president and chief executive officer.

Golden Queen Begins Commissioning of Processing Facility At Soledad Mountain Project

Golden Queen Mining Co. Ltd. (TSX: GQM; OTCQX: GQMNF) reports that mining and construction activities at its 50%-owned Soledad Mountain gold-silver project, located just south of Mojave, Calif., are on schedule, with the inaugural gold pour expected next month. Commissioning activities have begun and the first ore has been fed through the crushing circuit. The company reports that construction has hit the 95% completion mark. “The first gold pour is expected to occur in February and will signify a new chapter in Golden Queen’s long history as we transition from development to production,” says Thomas M. Clay, chairman and interim chief executive officer.
