BALTIMORE–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Constellation today announced new areas of focus for its E2 Energy to EducateSM grants program. The new areas of focus will emphasize innovation and help tomorrow’s energy leaders enhance their understanding of science and technology with tomorrow’s energy challenges in mind. The program, which awards grants of up to $25,000 to programs for grades 6-12 and $50,000 to colleges and universities, has provided more than $2.2 million in funding and reached more than 100,000 students since its inception in 2010.

Constellation is currently accepting proposals for hands-on projects which engage 100 or more students in grades 6-12 and college. Project proposals must align with Constellation’s new innovation-oriented themes:
Previous grantees have designed and built a cost-effective, energy efficient, sustainable home, implemented green design labs in New York City schools, installed solar panels, constructed fuel cells, and explored electric vehicle technology.
