Canadian miner Dominion Diamond Corp plans to appoint former De Beers Canada chief executive Jim Gowans as its new non-executive chairperson to replace Robert Gannicott, who alluded to “medical challenges” in a statement on Wednesday.
Gowans was appointed to the board, which intended to install him as chairperson by April 30.
