Kissner Group Holdings Strengthens Leadership Team with New Executive Appointments

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Kissner Group Holdings LP (“Kissner” or “the Company”), a leading, vertically integrated bulk salt and specialty packaged salt producer focused on governmental and commercial customers in the Great Lakes, Great Plains and Midwest regions, today announced that it has strengthened its leadership team with new executive appointments, which became effective August 1, 2016. The Company has named Mitchell Dascher as its new President and Chief Operating Officer and John Cox as its new Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel. Kissner also has appointed its Executive Chairman Mark Demetree to be its Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. In addition to these executive appointments, Kissner is also moving its corporate headquarters to Overland Park, Kansas.

Mr. Dascher, who assumes the newly created position of President and Chief Operating Officer, previously served as President of US Salt, LLC since 2007 and has more than 20 years of experience in the minerals and inorganic chemicals industry. He has also served as President of Southern Lime and has held various leadership positions with Harris Chemical Group, including four years of sales oversight for the highway deicing business for North American Salt Company.

Mr. Cox, who assumes the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel, most recently served as Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary, Chief of Strategy and Corporate Development for Dickinson Financial Corporation. He has more than 20 years of experience providing business and legal counsel at various companies, including General Electric, H&R Block and Bryan Cave LLP.

Mr. Demetree has served as the Executive Chairman of Kissner since May 2015 and has served on Kissner’s Board of Directors since November 2013. He has over 25 years of experience in the salt industry, including four years as President of North American Salt Company.
