Priority Power Management’s John Bick to Speak at the Permian Basin Gas Processors Association Annual Meeting

MIDLAND, Texas & ARLINGTON, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Priority Power Management, LLC (“PPM”), a Texas-based leading independent energy management and consulting services firm, has been invited to speak at the Permian Basin Gas Processors Association (“PBGPA”) 2016 Annual Meeting to be held on May 5, 2016 at the Odessa Country Club.

PPM’s presentation will be delivered by John J. Bick, Managing Principal of the firm. Mr. Bick’s presentation will focus on the critical importance of electric infrastructure and service planning by midstream companies as a key component in new development projects.

Many midstream operations require robust electric utility infrastructure with sufficient capacity to drive large compression facilities and gas processing plants, not to mention that the ongoing electricity costs can be significant.

Electric utility regulations and tariffs vary widely across the country. The policies for determining upfront capital costs to extend electrical utility infrastructure to serve midstream operations, and a multitude of complex tariffs, make it extremely difficult for midstream companies to understand all available options and selecting the most beneficial path forward.

Mr. Bick’s presentation will discuss strategies and key decision-making points for siting new midstream facilities considering existing electrical utility service territories and available infrastructure, certain opportunities that may be available to have multiple utilities compete for the business, electric delivery and supply rate structures, and options for privately-owned electrical utility infrastructure that may produce economic and commercial benefits for the midstream company.

“I am honored to be invited to speak at this year’s PBGPA Annual Meeting,” said Mr. Bick. “More and more new midstream projects are being developed in remote areas where electric utility infrastructure either does not exist, or does not have the adequate capacity to serve midstream requirements. There are clear advantages of performing detailed due diligence of electrical infrastructure and service planning options during business development phases of a planned project.”

PPM is proud to be the featured luncheon sponsor of PBGPA’s 2016 Annual Meeting.
