Canada’s National Energy Board cancelled the first day of hearings on TransCanada Corp’s proposed Energy East pipeline in Montreal on Monday after protesters disrupted the panel session, an agency spokesperson said.
Montreal police said three protesters were arrested on obstruction charges, with two of the three also charged with assaulting a police officer.
