LISLE, Ill.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–SunCoke Energy, Inc. (NYSE: SXC) today reported preliminary fourth quarter 2015 domestic coke production of 1.03 million tons, down an estimated 53,000 tons. The decline largely reflects 2015 Granite City volumes at contract maximum levels as well as below target production at our Indiana Harbor cokemaking facility.

Full-year 2015 estimated coke production of 4.12 million tons is down approximately 52,000 tons compared with full-year 2014, reflecting the same items discussed above and in line with 2015 production guidance of 4.1 million to 4.2 million tons.

Domestic capacity utilization for fourth quarter and full-year 2015 is estimated to be 96 percent and 97 percent, respectively, as compared to 101 percent and 98 percent for the same prior year periods.
