Thermal coal prices tumble as industrial demand weakens; oil prices weigh

Benchmark thermal coal prices for prompt delivery have all fallen to or below $50/t for the first time since before the global financial crisis of 2008/9 as industrial demand and a mild winter in the northern hemisphere dent consumption.
