Dual-listed Waterberg Coal Company (WCC) on Wednesday said it had received notice of legal action in respect of a claim for loan principal amounts of A$500 000 plus interest. “The company believes the total claimed to be opportunistic and spurious in nature and will, therefore, be engaging with counsel to have the matter formally abandoned,” it said in a statement.
