The board of nickel miner Western Areas has approved a A$17.5-million investment in its mill recovery enhancement project (MREP) in Western Australia.
The MREP will process one of the tailings stream from the flotation plant, which contains valuable amounts of nickel that cannot be recovered into a saleable concentrate by traditional flotation methods.
