Australian oil and gas major Woodside has discovered gas at its Shwe Yee Htun-1 exploration well, in the Rakhine basin offshore Myanmar.
The well targeted one of many identified channel complexes that run over a large anticlinical feature called the Saung Anticline, and was spudded in November last year, reaching its original target depth of 4 810 m on December 23.
