The tenement is located in Mashegu L.G.A. which is pro-mining community and politically stable jurisdiction in West-Central Nigeria. The Property is 200km North-West of the Australian owned 2billion tons iron ore deposit in Kogi State and also Just 2 hours drive from the Federal Capital territory Abuja.

Rhodium LTD is an emerging focused multi-commodity resource company committed to the Development and exploitation of Natural resource deposits in Nigeria. The Company’s focus on this exciting project is on the development of a low capital, low operating cost models for the Exploration and Exploitation of Hematite iron ore. The Nupe Hematite BIF in Mashegu district of Northwestern Nigeria occurs within the Upper Cretaceous sedimentary sequence of the Nupe/Bida Basin which trends Northwest-Southeast. The Nupe deposit bears Geological and mineralogical similarities with Agbaja Plateau Iron ore Project and Itakpe which has resources potential of 1 to 2 billion tonnes and over 300million tonnes of iron ore respectively. Recent Field prospecting identified New Targets with a possible 20kilometer strike extent of hematite mineralization with significant thickness composed of hematite cap and oxidized transition including Manganese Benefits. The Nupe Hematite deposit delivers exceptionally high grade hematite mineralisation, suitable for a premium Direct Shipping Ore (DSO) product at 50%Fe This outstanding discovery will enable potential investors to confidently develop a strategy to commence Exploration and Exploitation of high grade, low impurity DSO Iron Resource at the Nupe Deposit. The very low impurity levels and very high grade is considered to be a highly sought after blending product for other iron ore producers. The Kanbari Deposit is well located to infrastructure including already existing Railine just 25kms from tenement which links directly to Lagos Seaport. supported by experienced and highly skilled local mining workforce

The physical landform of the tenement area area is made up of flat-lying to gently rolling plains. The monotony of the landscape is however broken by residual hills, which are either conical or flat-topped. The area is mark by a NW?SE and a NE?SE running ridges that are prominently composed of laterite. The terrain is mostly covered by Red laterite and fairly by soil and sandstone as a result of the weathering activities that have depleted the hills and ridges.
Many insequent streams that enters Rafin Gora River as tributaries are seasonal and forms a dentritic drainage pattern which strongly suggest that the terrain is composed of lithological, structural and topographic homogeneity basement, which created fault patterns trending northeast-southwest and northwest-southeast (Kogbe, 1981). A rift origin for the basin has been
postulated by Kogbe (1981) whilst Whiteman (1982) suggested the basin to have been formed
from simple cratonic sag. The sedimentation data presented suggest that the central Bida basin was formed by rifting or by cratonic sagging.

The Tenement area is underlain by a thick sequence of Meta-Volcanic, meta-sedimentary Rocks, Ferruginous Sandstone, Felspathic Sandstone and siltstone. The sedimentary rocks to the south are characterized of sandstones and alluvial deposits (Bida Basin). To the north is the basement complex, characterised by granitic outcrops or inselbergs which can be found in the vast topography of rolling landscape. The Hills on the Tenement averaged an altitude of 303m.

The Hematite rich banded iron formation (BIF) horizons have an extensive surface exposure from the top of the hills and indicate that individual BIF horizons are present with strike lengths ranging from hundreds of metres to more than 5 kilometres. The BIFs are generally <55m thick although structural repetition results in localised thickening. There is limited evidence of supergene enrichment of the primary hematite or goethite mineralisation.

The Nupe Iron Project has not been subjected to any significant modern exploration save for historical drilling that were undertaken by the exiting company in the 80’s, for which there is no record of assay as the operation was in wind?down mode at the time owing primarily to lower prevailing market prices for iron and Manganese and high transportation cost.

A high resolution airborne geological survey involves magnetic, radiometric and electromagnetic surveys aimed at assisting and promoting mineral exploration were carried out in Nigeria between 2003 and 2009. A study of the Data highlights the Nupe hematite deposit BIF as a distinct magnetic anomaly with a possible 20km occurrence. A government regional geochemistry survey also completed and the data corresponds favorably within the staked claims. The Nigeria Geo-chemical mapping project was a collaboration effort among the Nigeria Geological Survey Agency (NGSA), the British Geological Survey Agency (BGSA), the Finland Geological Survey and the World Bank, which funded it through the Sustainable Management of Mineral Resources Projects(SMMRP).

This provides a significant opportunity for Rhodium LTD to carry out drilling programs to test the down dip and strike potential of the Targets and utilize modern regional exploration techniques to assess the entire project area for new outcropping and BIF Hematite targets.
The management of Rhodium Limited appointed a professional Geoscientists in the person of Raheem, Mudashir Olayiwola B.Sc (Hons), M.Sc and a member of the Council of Nigerian Mining Engineers and Geoscientists, who has extensive Knowledge on Iron ore mineralization and metallurgy because of his many year services at the Itakpe Steel Mill, to investigate the Nupe iron deposit under Mashegu L.G.A of Niger State.
