Black Rose Placer Claim #2
Colorado Gold Placer Gunnison County, Tincup Mining District
SOLD
Summary
One of the best placer claims in the Black Rose family. This 18.76-acre gold placer claim sits at the confluence of two gold-bearing streams. West Willow Creek, slaughterhouse gulch and Willow Creek flow converge into the heart of this property. Gold has been found up the sides of the bank well above the current water level. Hand panning revealed gold just inches below the stream bed, well above the bedrock. Bedrock is estimated to be between 4-5 feet down from the surface depending upon the location. An abundance of black sand is also found on this property carrying gold bearing material. This claim is known for flour gold.
