Location and Access
Located about 60 miles east of Sacramento, California, USA.
Description
The Double S Mine is a Turnkey Gold Mine. It is an east belt lode underground Gold Project.
The mine is fully permitted and bonded on 83 acres of land. See mineral survey No. 6994 A & B for more details. The mine is situated in the Historical Skull Flat Mining District which is now the West Point Mining District.
The property is strategically located in relationship with geologic and geophysical attributes. Accessible sloping eleveations provide access to greater depths using turnnels and adits.
Ths project is a bonafide working mining operation with infrastructure currently in place. There is a filed notice of operations, bonding, ATF&E explosives, permits, PG&E power, year round access, roads, water wells, year round creek.
The tunnels are currently integrated with LHD and railroad systems. The buildings include a 3 bed/2 bath residence with septic, shop, min portal shop, and dry house.
The portal equipment includes 3 phase 480v CAT generator 150KW, 75 HP Electric IR Compressor, and a 12 x 20 Rock crushing plant.
Geology
Nurmerous north trending west-dipping quartz veins are found in the granodiorite and adjacent metamorphic rocks. The veins range 1 to 5 feet wide, have persistent strikes, and belong to historical vein systems that have not been fully mapped. The ore bodies contain free gold and abundant sulfides especially galena which is associated with higher grade Au.
The development consists of a 9x9 haulage crosscut driven on an easterly direction which is servies by a 24 guage railroad and LHD deisel loaders. This crosscut bisects the north trending quartz veins which are serviced by 7x7 development drifts.
Ore is produced from a stope and additional chute/manway development. There are 4 hearding and one stope working at this time. It has in place an air-shaft/second exit.
History
This disctrict is noted for its documented high grade ore bodies for which the mine plan is dedictated to develp through a series of adits, crosscut tunnels, vein drifts, and core drill stations.
Additional Information
Also included is the Billy Williams Mine, a 10 acre patented mine.
