Location and Access
The property is located approximately 70 kilometres West of Lillooet, in central British Columbia, Canada.
Tenures, available for option: 955757, 1007762, 1013071, 1023711, 1024570, 1024579.
Description
1. Placer dimensions
Property length along the Gun Creek is over 3km. Benches are typically 40 - 60m wide.
2. Sampling results / estimated gold grade
Gold was presented in the samples from the Test Pit 1 upstream from tenure 955757 to the downstream (Eastern) boundary of tenure 1013071.
Tenures 1023711, 1024570 and 1024579 have not been tested yet.
Best hand samples returned grades from 0.4 to 1.9 g/m3. Sample size was between 0.1 and 0.3 m3.
1.2 m3 sample was taken from Test Pit 1 (see the pictures below). It yielded 1.2 grams of gold.
Gold was fairly evenly distributed through the payzone of 1 metre thick.
Bedrock was not reached in Test Pit 1, so the actual payzone thickness may be over 1 metre. Higher grade is expected at the gravel-bedrock contact.
Sampling results and historical data about gold distribution in gravels and common nugget size between 31 and 150 grams at the nearby Haylmore placer allow to project that gold grade will be higher than currently confirmed 1 g/m3 at the Test Pit 1.
3. Locked-in placer values
A sample taken 20m downstream from the Test Pit 1 yielded 0.19 grams of gold from 0.1 m3 of bank material.
After placer gold was removed from the concentrate, the remaining material was analyzed by ICP-MS and returned 23,117 ppb Au.
Sample's duplicate was visually inspected under a microscope. A particle of gold still attached to the host rock was detected (see the picture "Locked-in values").
Subsequently 12 samples were taken from the tenures 955757 and 1013071 along the creek at a few hundred metres intervals. Sample size was 5 litres and 10 litres of minus 4 inch alluvial material. The samples were concentrated (reduced by panning) in the field to 70-360 grams. Then samples were re-panned in the indoor conditions and visually inspected under a microscope. All samples contained visible free gold ranging from barely visible specs to 2mm flakes. All visible gold (122 particles total) was carefully removed from the samples. Placer gold free concentrate was sent to AcmeLab.
Fire assay results:
4 samples returned values under 7 ppb Au
6 samples returned values from 120 ppb to 652 ppb Au
2 samples returned 1,531 ppb and 3,608 ppb Au.
The results indicate that, if property goes into production, fine placer tailings might contain over 1.0 g/t as combined locked-in values and free gold, lost during gravity extraction. Further studies are required.
Targets
The project exhibits two targets to explore:
High grade placer
Potentially over 1.0 g/t hard-rock (fine placer tailings)
