Rock samples collected from the old working on the claim contain more than 0.75 oz Au/ton. Great for weekend miners, prospecting or building a cabin. There is a large amount of historical data including original claim location notice from 1904, the application for patent and survey notes (1910), and the Mineral Patent for the Hermine lode mining claim from President William Taft issued in July of 1912.

The Hermine patented claim (MS 4763), Mono County APN 009-020-001-000, contains 20.49 ac and is located north of Bridgeport CA. and just at the edge of the historic Masonic townsite. It is in the SW corner of section 15, T 6 N, R 26 E in Mono County California. A graded, county gravel road provides access to claim and it has lots of pinion pines and a seasonal stream.
