According to regional geology around Site Area, the structure is strongly folded with anticline & syncline structure and thrust fault that cut of the formation.

The area is a known coal producing region with a recognized export thermal grade coal product sought after by Indian and Chinese power producers.

These sub-bituminous coals are generally high in moisture (30-45% total moisture) but have extremely low ash and very low sulphur (<5% and <0.5% respectively), making them ideal for blending or for feeding the new generation of power station boilers in countries such as India and China.
