Mine Details
250 acres with a bush road as well as Marsh Creek running full length. A usable "fit for purpose" cabin is included adjacent to Marsh Creek. Includes a 30" x 12' trammel with a separate hopper.
Location and Access:
60 km East of Vernon, British Columbia, Canada, on Keefer Lake road.
Description:
I obtained a permit to work and did 10 test holes with limited results. The pay dirt started at about 8-10 feet down and I was unable to reach good pay dirt. I cancelled my permit this fall and decided to sell because of health reasons.
Geology:
At the NW corner where Marsh Creek enters the claim , the land is very steep on both sides of the creek with the bush road running close to the creek. The Steep banks start to flatten toward the centre of the claims, flattening out level as the creek reaches the Kettle River Valley.
History:
First worked by Al Marsh in 1883 . Records show Marsh took out quantities of gold , but do not state total amount. A complete record going back to early 1883 can be provided. The copy I have is 66 pages , far too much to add to this package.
