Location and Access
Located in Yukon, Canada
Access can be made by helicopter from Dawson City, boat or barge along the Yukon River during the summer season. There is an air strip and barge service for equipment fuel etc. to the landing at Thistle Creek. Kinross Mining has built a road from the Thistle Creek landing to the Golden Saddle deposit at the headwaters of Minneapolis Creek. Their will be a future road access off of the proposed road to the new Gold Corp development south of the claims recently acquired from Kaminak currently under permit review.
Description
All claims are virgin up the creeks and side pay.
Five known gold zones isolated on two creeks with soil samples from Ground Truth Exploration and Ryanwood Exploration
Extensive mapping, soil sampling, and Ground Penetrating Radar reports,
Extremely high samples Au-As-Sb,
Located between two producing placer mines directly to the north and south,
20 kilometers from Thistle Creek Landing by road, Thistle Creek has produced 60,000 Au ounces since 1976
Three GPR 2D surveys and two drone survey's identify a clear and distinct Paleo channel throughout Minneapolis Creek identifying depths from 5 – 13 meters to bedrock,
The Golden Saddle and Arc deposits above Minneapolis Creek were purchased from Underworld Resources in March 2010 by Kinross Gold, for 139.2 million dollars, at the time the indicated resources were 1,577 million ounces grading between 1.2 – 3.2 grams per ton, the quartz claims on the creeks are now being drilled by White Gold Corp. with ownership from Kinross Gold, Agnico Eagle Mines, Pat DiCapo, Sean Ryan and PowerOne Capital.
Geology
Numerous showings in 5 known and separate gold zones, including two major discoveries on the White Property and headwaters of Minneapolis Creek. Both the Golden Saddle and Arc zone are near surface deposits. Minneapolis and Principal Creek flow through the white property. Mineralization is hosted in Bonanza-style quartz veins as coarse and fine gold in silicified, brecciated metasedimentary rocks and in fault hosted pyrite-rich quartz veins, the area is unglaciated.
History
First reports of gold around the property are documented as early as 1887. The reason for the early activity is probably a rumor of rich gold quartz specimens being found some years to 1887, when Wm Ogilvie heard the story on his trip down the Yukon River. According to the rumor, a specimen of gold bearing quartz assaying $20,000. per ton was found high above the river opposite the mouth of the White River. In 2003 the area was staked by Shawn Ryan and optioned to Madalena Resources and then Underworld Resources commencing soil sampling and prospecting and drilling.Since that time Millions of dollars and several thousand soil and numerous silt samples have been taken over the creeks, the evaluation of soil data has indicated a coincident Au-As-Sb anomaly forming a continuous wish-bone shaped belt over the extent of the sample area and Minneapolis and Principal Creeks.
Additional Information
This is a rare and quality two creek package including a phenomenal amount of geophysical data and technical reports http://yma.gov.yk.ca/095090.pdf over 1000 pages of documentation is available upon qualified request.
