The MCW project is located 25 miles northwest of Tonopah, NV. The driving time is approximately 45 minutes to town and 4 hours to Reno.

A 2wd vehicle can drive within 2 miles of the property and from there a 4wd vehicle can drive directly to the claims without a problem.

Two instances of mineralization occurred in the district and both seem to be present in the Carrie Mine area, a former gold and silver mine on the MCW property. An early Mesozoic event formed the Palmetto formation which contains the highest silver values in the quartz veins at the Carrie Mine. A later tertiary event resulted in gold mineralization of the Palmetto formation and jasperoids. The Gilbert mining district was mined for gold and silver as far back as the 1880s when the Carrie Mine was first developed. Though production information for that time is not available, high grade gold ore was struck at the Last Hope claims and rich silver-lead ores were mined at the Carrie Mine. The Carrie Mine consists of around 1000 feet of workings which followed quartz veins ranging from a few inches to several feet thick. Most of the work was done prior to 1925. Numerous prospects surround the main mine and dumps containing a considerable amount of potential ore exist near the mine site. With rising metal prices the area received renewed interest in the 1980s. Anaconda Mining Company conducted sampling in the area and drilled south of the property where they discovered encouraging results. A report by a geologist deemed the Carrie Mine area as having excellent potential for a 5,000,000 ton gold deposit of .05oz/ton Later in the decade Sikaman Gold Resources made a discovery of wollastonite while exploring for gold. After conducting diamond and reverse circulation drilling the company identified major wollastonite mineralization to a depth of 500 feet. The ore was reported to be of 50-70% wollastonite with around 2 million tons of reserves. The location was deemed well suited for low cost open pit mining. In 1990, Sikaman sold a 25% stake in the property for $400,000. The late 2000s saw another rise in interest in the area and in 2012 Hecla Mining purchased claims near the property for $4.5 million. According to Hecla, their property has an inferred resource of 913,000 tons of .14oz/ton gold amounting to 131,300 ounces. Wollastonite is a versatile industrial mineral with many applications. It is used in plastics, ceramics, metallurgy, and paints. It also functions as an asbestos replacement in tiles and many other products. New applications for the mineral may develop in the agriculture and waste management industry. Higher prices can potentially be gained for wollastonite by adding custom chemical modifications. Based on historical estimates, this deposit is likely the largest wollastonite occurrence in the United States outside of New York, the only location where it is currently being produced in the country. The presence of widespread wollastonite surface with little overburden should be well suited for the development of an open pit mine.

Nevada is a mining friendly state and as the claims have direct access, are not far from a town with amenities, have an amenable topography and little overburden, development should be relatively easy. The presence of larger mining companies in the area should be beneficial to the development of infrastructure.

During the period of 1989 to 1999 there were +20 reports from various mill tests by accredited labs, designed to optimize the recovery of all marketable wollastonite of various specs.

Drilling in 1989 and 1993 was incorporated into an electronic 3D reserve model, with design of pita generated from logs of each foot of core, a total station survey of DDH collars, lithology, structure, and topographic features.

Past exploration estimated the wollastonite deposit to be around two million tons of 50-70% wollastonite.

Domestic wollastonite has a market value according to the USGS of $231-$489 per ton.

The following are rough estimates as to the value of the mineral resources based on historical estimates of a 2 million ton deposit at a price of $250/ton:
50% x 2,000,000 tons = 1,000,000 tons of wollastonite
1,000,000 tons x $250/ton = $250,000,000 market value of wollastonite in deposit
