The area is accessible through both the Kagem Mining area and another route which passes near Saint Dorothy Mission en route to Chief Lumpuma's Palace.

Work in this area involved inspection of exposed geology in pits and surrounding ones. The plot is under lain by a quartz - Muscovite schist which mantles the talc-magnetite schist similar to the main emerald bearing rock type found elsewhere in the area. All three of phases of pegmatite fluid pulsations have been reported to occur simultaneously at the same point locality. The discovery of one generation in one area is therefore good enough news for sect of land and the areas close to it.
