Summary
LA SALLE IS THE CAPITAL OF SILICA SAND - Be in the heart of Silica Sand, in fact there is an operating silica sand mine immediately east of the property along I-80.
LOGISTICS - This location in the City of La Salle is especially attractive and provides excellent logistics opportunities via trucking, rail and barge facilities all within close proximity. The Illinois Railway to BNSF is eleven miles away. BN and CSX facilities are within seventeen miles. There are two combination rail / barge facilities on the Illinois River as well as at Peru and at Ottawa. The property is five miles from the Illinois River. A new truck to rail transload on the Union Pacific is eight miles north of the property on I-39.
ESTIMATED RESERVE: 64.5 Million Tons
ANALYSIS - In 2013 Marino Engineering Associates of Urbana, IL conducted testing on the site and reported sand seam thickness range from 67 to 89 feet with an overburden averaging 7.5 feet. The samples were analyzed by Stim-Lab, Duncan, OK and meet API specifications for frac sand. The study determined an estimated reserve:
9.3 million tons of 20/40
36.6 million tons of 40/70
16.5 million tons of 70/140
over 2.0 million tons of other sizes
