The following is an email from a Geologist friend, which provides information on the geology of the area.

Thanks for the details of your sampling program last fall. I’ve had a look at them and given their location (and I assume your claim location), I see they are very close to Olivine Mtn. This whole area is classified as an ultramafic (dark minerals) assemblage of rocks. Olivine is a classic ultramafic mineral for which it is unlikely that economic gold/silver would be found. However, ultramafic rocks are the host for the platinum group elements, although having such rock types doesn’t guarantee the presence of economic platinum. I do note that one of your grab samples showed a little platinum colour…other than that, the assay results were uninteresting regarding precious metals. Olivine is a magnesium iron silicate…meaning that it has those minerals in it. Your ICP analysis supports this with generally elevated levels of magnesium and iron. Silica wasn’t tested. There are elevated amounts of chromium and manganese…which is not surprising since these minerals are also associated with ultramafic rocks.

I dug through my meager files of various geologic settings and showings in BC and found a file on this exact location. What are the chances? As it turns out, I entertained the prospect of helping a group of promoters that had some claims just north of yours (I think)…I don’t really know where yours are. Either way, they were looking to mine the olivine as an industrial mineral. At the time (early ‘90s) this seemed like a good proposition, but I have no idea what the demand for olivine is here or as an export product today. I have read through my old geologic reports…some from the BC Geologic Survey, one from Tiffany Resources Inc. As a product, olivine can be used as foundry sand, but I don’t know the price today. It can also be used to sequester carbon…an interesting use given the emerging issue of climate change today.

I think it would be important to look at your property as more of a potential industrial quarry.

Many of the tenures have been held for over 40 years, with little development or exploratory work done.
