Due to the difficulty of the terrain, this area was often overlooked by major mining companies. Old artifacts found in the area suggest a small placer operation was in existence in the early 1900’s. Other than this, and a handful of diligent prospectors, the land is virtually untouched from any major operations. Making these claims a prime opportunity for major gold finds.
