Located in Western Australia in the Central Canning Basin on the southern edge of the Kimberley region, some 140km south of Broome.

The Admiral Bay Project is highly prospective zinc-lead-silver development project. A Pre-Feasibility Study completed in 2010, confirmed the technical and financial viability of the project and recommended a Bankable Feasibility Study be completed. The Pre-Feasibility Study identified an underground modified room and pillar operation, with annual production of c.77ktpa zinc and c.99ktpa lead in concentrate. Admiral Bay has an Inferred JORC Resource of 97Mt (2.3Mt of contained zinc) defined over a 2.3km strike, while additional mineralisation has been tested and confirmed over at least 18km, potentially indicating a mineral endowment of 500Mt.

The mineralised zones at Admiral Bay are approximately tabular and flat lying at a nominal depth of 1,350m below surface. A thick sequence of Cretaceous-Jurassic-Permian sandstones/siltstones (up to 1,200m thick), overlies a variably dolomitised siltstone/shale/limestone which is host to an upper zinc-rich zone and a lower lead-rich zone of mineralisation. The orebody is an MVT (Mississippi Valley Type) dolstone Pb/Zn deposit and is likely to have similarities to other known Lennard Shelf MVT deposits e.g. Cadjebut and Pilara.
