MONTREAL–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ENGIE Services Inc. is pleased to announce that it has been awarded an expansion to an existing contract with Defence Construction Canada (DCC) to provide facility maintenance and support services for a range of military buildings.
This new addition covers several military facilities and naval reserves in the Saguenay region.
The initial three-year contract began in the fourth quarter of 2015 and includes a two-year extension option. It covers all facility management linked to daily operations as well as building inspection, maintenance and repair. ENGIE will also manage and coordinate additional construction work. The agreement includes a team on duty 24/7 to provide all armouries with emergency response around the clock throughout Quebec for services covered by the contract.
“The award of these new facilities is further recognition of our expertise in facility management,” says Pierre Lapointe, ENGIE’s vice-president of operations. “The project will benefit from our reputation in the province as well as our vast experience in the field, so we can help our client plan repairs. We are pleased to be working with Defence Construction Canada even further to support our client, the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces.”
Use of ENGIE’s Planon solution in our web call centre will capture real-time data on user service requests for effective budget planning, service quality measurement and ensure documentation of daily management activities.
Beyond the basic contract covering maintenance of the various sites, ENGIE must carry out various renovations to upgrade the current condition of the existing infrastructure. This investment under the Federal Infrastructure Investments Program should generate positive benefits in local communities.
