Located outside of Truth or Consequences New Mexico on and easy 2WD dirt road.

The site is 60 acres and consists of a 20 acre lode property and 40 acres of placer claims. The lode claims are targeted over the underground workings. These workings are estimated at roughly 1,200’ with extensive stoping. The Placer claims are laid over the wash, which is where gold has been found for the last 150 years. Quantities are reported as small, however, it appears to have been enough to support two homesteads on the claims. One homestead appears to have been utilized in the past 5 years. The mines have been neglected and will need some clean up to be accessible. The portals are in poor condition. There is reported to be a 500’ haulage tunnel which meets with a 200’ shaft. Both are visible from the surface. There is also reported to be at least 500’ of cross drifting with “several significant stopes”. Surveyors in 2022 reported gold bearing limonite with heavy skarn material. There is visible gold in the oxidized iron. The main shaft is clear but will need a new ladder. The main wash has been casually worked for gold. The material is heavy with black sand and silt. Gold recovered is reported to be tumbled smooth and in small nuggets. There has been no flake reported, which likely indicates the source of the gold is far upstream. The site is an excellent opportunity for small miners and beginners to start their activities. There are many historical structures in the area. The area is very remote with no services.
