Copper & Silver Mineral Exploartion Project
Fortune Bay
Summary:
Copper
- Based on 20,000,000 tonnes of 1.5 % Copper @ $3.00 / lb.
- 2200 lbs. / tonne X 1.5 % Cu = 33 lbs. of Cu / tonne
- $3.00 / lb. Cu X 33lbs / tonne = $99.00 ($100.00 /tonne)
- 20,000,000 tonnes X $100.00 = $2,000,000,000.00 ($2B)
Silver
- Based on 20,000,000 tonnes of 2 grams /tonne Silver
- 2 grams / tonne = 0.0705479 oz. / tonne
- 20,000,000 X 0.0705479 = 1,410,958 oz.
- $30.00 / oz. X 1,410,958 oz. = $42,328,740.00 ($42M)
- Total $2,042,328,740.00 ($2B,$42M)
Location and Access:
Harbour Mille, Burin Peninsula, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada
Description:
- Property consists of 11 licences totaling 74 claims for 1,850 hectares.
- $14,141 assessment requirement for 2013
- High grade mineralization discovered in several areas
- Mineralization is along both limbs of synclinal fold with depth potential.
- 6 samples >1.0%Cu (Copper), 1 at 2.21%Cu, 1.84%Cu/3.7m along 500m strike length on the south limb of the fold structure.
- 9 samples >1.0%Cu, 5 >2.0%Cu on north limb of the fold structure.
- Possibility of multiple mineralized sedimentary horizons
- Neoproterozoic age (same as Kalahari Belt, Central African Copper Belt)
- Excellent Infrastructure and Geographic Location
- Essentially unexplored with no geophysics and no diamond drilling to date.
Geology:
Sediment-hosted copper deposit similar to Kuperschieffer, Poland and the Kalahari Copper Belt in Central Africa
Copper mineralization along regionally extensive favourable sedimentary layers. Laterally extensive mineralization in sedimentary host rocks.
Consistent grades over large distances
Local enrichment in favourable sedimentary and structural traps. Sediment-hosted type copper deposits are the source for 20% of the world’s total copper production
History:
- 1972-73 – SEREM Ltd. carried out recon exploration on Burin Peninsula, minor copper mineralization was noted
- 2001 - High grade Copper discovered in area by local prospector.
- 2001 - Celtic Minerals Ltd. carried out line cutting and prospecting at Bay L’Argent, South Limb of fold.
- 2001 - Altius Resources Ltd. carried out reconnaissance prospecting at Harbour Mille, (North Limb of fold)
Currently - Mineral potential remains untested.
NOTE: - Of particular importance; most copper prospects have been located near the coast line where outcrop exposure is excellent.
