Melba creek is located 48.4 miles South west of Dawson by road. 43.8 miles from Dawson to the road that leads into Melba creek. This road is maintained by the Yukon government from spring to late fall.

Melba creek is located south west of Dawson city. Melba creek is a tributary to Australia creek tributary to the Indian river. Melba creek also parallels dominion creek both dominion and Indian river have earned their reputation for being among the top gold producing valleys of the Klondike since the gold rush. Melba creek is a very wide valley that extends into Australia creek valley. This is beneficial for miners to employ cheaper large scale systematic gold recovery. The creek itself has a sizable stream well suited for a larger plant and operation. There has been drilling done proving this valley to be consistent gold bearing ground at approximately 22-24$/yard at $1134/oz in USD. The area that is for sale is approximately 1.643 square miles.

Melba creek geologicaly is located in lower portion of the valley bottom of this valley. the bottom 3 miles of the lease are quite flat as the valley is medium to large in size. There are benches in this valley that have been staked since my ownership of this property as it is a new frontier in the Dawson area. The elevation of this creek is 1837ft above sea level. The valley is not heavily forested most of the vegetation is 5-10 feet tall willows and aspen trees, with the exception of standing spruce near the steam itself. The gravel itself consists of 80% quarts rock, a very good indicator for gold.

History of this valley is very minimal as it is virgin ground and has not seen any commercial mining yet.

This property has been listed by JGC Drilling Inc. As we are a drilling company not a mining company we have no interest in mining this ground.
